Opdepoel

Water Sportvereniging Amstelveen (WSA) is a friendly, family-oriented watersports association with more than 50 years of activity on the Amstelveense Poel. Bringing together people of all ages, the club offers members opportunities to sail, windsurf, stand-up paddleboard, use a pedal boat, or simply enjoy time by the water on its attractive club grounds. While WSA has traditionally focused on teaching sailing and windsurfing, it now places particular emphasis on helping members enjoy boating and recreation on the Poel.

Members can get out on the water without extensive watersports experience, and sailing boats are available for those who can sail. The club is generally open during the season on Tuesday evenings and weekends, according to its agenda, with someone available to join a trip or offer help. WSA also encourages members to suggest activities and lists plans including a barbecue and a visit to Sail Amsterdam. Sailing and windsurfing lessons, competitions, trips to the Nieuwe Meer, and a sailing weekend in Friesland are possibilities the club hopes to pursue again.
