Wurzel & Weg is the personal funeral-speaking practice of Nathalie Abel-Klaiber, serving Herten, the Recklinghausen district and the surrounding area. With a warm, respectful approach, Nathalie supports families as they say goodbye and helps create ceremonies that reflect the life and character of the person who has died. Her work begins with a personal conversation, held at home, at a place chosen by the family or online. She listens to stories, memories and emotions, then shapes them into an individually written eulogy, avoiding generic wording and standard scripts.

The service includes guidance throughout the preparation, a heartfelt funeral address, and the selection of music, symbolic rituals and personal gestures. Nathalie can also help plan the farewell at the graveside according to the family’s wishes. Ceremonies may include Christian or non-religious elements, with the family’s needs at the centre. A qualified religious educator and ordained community deacon, Nathalie brings years of experience supporting people through difficult stages of life.
