About Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association
The Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) is a student-led organization representing undergraduate students at the University of Waterloo. Guided by its βfor students, by studentsβ approach, WUSA provides services, resources, and opportunities intended to support academic goals and enrich university life. Its offerings include student-run services such as peer support, the Bike Centre, the Food Support Service, and the Centre for Academic Policy Support, alongside clubs, events, volunteer opportunities, and employment listings.
WUSA also helps students navigate practical needs through transportation information, the GRT U-Pass, a student Health and Dental Plan, housing and tenancy resources, and advocacy on issues including mental health, student safety, and international student tuition. Its food and retail operations include campus venues such as The Bomber, Chaska, and Wok Stop, as well as WUSA Thrift. Additional supports include the Student Legal Protection Program, the Pay-What-You-Can Program, and the Turnkey Desk.
Among its campus initiatives is WalkSafe, a peer-led evening walking service that pairs students with two trained volunteers for accompaniment to their destination.
