Wutai

WUTAI Centre is a Slovak school dedicated to the study and teaching of traditional Chinese martial arts and the promotion of Chinese culture. Founded by Master José Luis Serra, a traditional Chinese medicine therapist and holder of a fifth duan awarded by the International Wushu Association, the school draws on his more than 35 years of training and teaching experience. Serra is a personal student and Slovak representative of Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang. WUTAI is also a member of Chen Xiao Wang’s federation, supporting the preservation and quality of Chen-style Tai Chi.

The centre offers regular group and individual training, courses, and seminars for children and adults. Its instruction includes Hung Gar kung fu, Chen- and Yang-style Tai Chi, qigong, Shuai Jiao, Baguazhang, and Xingyiquan. The school’s name refers to Wu Tai Shan, a mountain associated with Chinese spiritual traditions. WUTAI connects its identity with the five martial virtues of humility, respect, integrity, trust, and loyalty, as well as the Chinese concepts of the five elements and yin and yang.
