Wutao

Wudang Kung-fu Association brings together schools teaching traditional Wudang kung-fu, founded by Master Zhai Feng. The association focuses on traditional Chinese martial arts from the Wudang tradition, especially its internal styles. Training includes taijiquan, also known as tai chi, as well as xingyiquan, the “form and mind” style, and baguazhang, the “eight trigrams palm” style.

Each offers a distinct approach to movement and practice: xingyiquan introduces fundamental movement principles and methods of generating force, while baguazhang training supports joint strength and mobility, balance, and awareness of the body’s connection to the ground. Alongside forms and foundational practice, the schools teach martial application, fighting, and self-defense. The association also offers classes for children, who learn suitable external styles such as Shaolin kung-fu.

Their foundational training develops strength in the tendons and bones, flexibility, mobility, and coordination through dedicated exercises and sequences. The association presents kung-fu as a practice that can build overall physical abilities and support children’s development beyond training
