WV Saeftinghe

W.V. Saeftinghe is a watersports association based at the tidal harbour of Paal, near Graauw in the Netherlands. Situated beside the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe nature reserve, the harbour is reached by a buoyed channel and offers a distinctive setting on the Westerschelde. Because the harbour dries completely at low tide, it is not suitable for boats with a fin keel; visitors can, however, stop by the association’s clubhouse.

The harbour provides electricity, water, showers, chemical toilet disposal, a wastewater pump, a bilge-water pump, a storage shed and a workshop. The clubhouse features a terrace, and the association shares practical information to help visitors reach the harbour safely, including tide-table and webcam links. W.V. Saeftinghe also organizes community activities and events, including fishing and sailing competitions, and publishes their results. Its website offers information about the association, its board and clubhouse, along with membership and berth applications. The club welcomes passing boaters and provides contact details for harbour information and emergencies.
