About WV Energie AG
WV Energie AG is a German project developer rooted in municipal utilities, with a history dating back to its founding in 1904. Working with municipalities, cities, public utilities, investors, planners and other partners, the company develops energy and IT infrastructure intended to support the energy transition, climate protection and digitalisation. Its work spans the project lifecycle, from site acquisition and planning through construction and operation.
WV Energie develops and operates ground-mounted solar parks across Germany, plans large-scale battery storage projects for electricity and balancing-energy markets, and works on data centres designed to meet growing demand for computing capacity. Its projects also include onshore wind development at Wertachtal and participation in the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Through its subsidiary M-Exchange, the company offers e-procurement, invoice management and data-exchange solutions for operational purchasing processes.
WV Energie highlights its long-standing development expertise, industry network and close municipal partnerships. The company reports more than 160 shareholders and over 300 MW of successfully implemented renewable-energy projects.
