About WWCT Trust
The Wilderness and Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT) is dedicated to safeguarding the diverse species that inhabit Sri Lanka, with a primary focus on the Sri Lankan leopard. Through extensive ecological research conducted in various locations across the island, WWCT gathers crucial data highlighting the significance of leopards and their impact on the ecosystem. Established in 2004, WWCT, under the leadership of Dr.
Andrew Kittle and Anjali Watson, conducts research on leopard behavior, diet, and habitat to support conservation efforts. By collaborating with local communities, educational institutions, and wildlife authorities, WWCT aims to reduce human-leopard conflicts and promote awareness about leopard conservation. The trust's ongoing projects include studying leopard populations, assessing habitat utilization, and documenting other wildcat species present in Sri Lanka.
