Wycheproof Cemetery

Wycheproof Cemetery is a community-managed cemetery located on Gretgrix Road, about four kilometres south of Wycheproof, Victoria, near the Calder Highway. Established in 1877, it holds a significant place in the district’s history, with its first recorded burials dating to 1878. Its many monumental headstones preserve the stories of local families, including those whose descendants still live in the area.

The cemetery is administered by a trust of community members who oversee its governance and care for the grounds, helping maintain a respectful place of remembrance.
