Xàldiga

Xàldiga Taller de Festes is a nonprofit organization founded in 1983 to create and support activities celebrating popular culture in Manresa and beyond. Best known for the Correfoc de Manresa, it has helped bring fire-running traditions to the city’s Festa Major since its founding. Its program also includes the Correaigua, a water-based street celebration held during the Festa Major since 1989, as well as performances and activities by its Diables, drummers, youth groups, fire-beast figures and Histrions.

The organization contributes to local events such as the Fira de l’Aixada, where performers evoke Manresa’s medieval past, and organizes the annual Trobada de Diables with its children’s section and invited groups. In collaboration with the Fira Mediterrània and the association for traditional festive beasts, it also presents a gathering featuring processions, including a fire procession. Xàldiga develops new performances and activities, participates in events in schools and other towns, and offers themed merchandise at local stalls.
