Xcite Adventure Racing is a Sunshine Coast-based organiser of urban and off-road adventure races, created to make the excitement of adventure racing accessible and affordable to people ready to get outdoors. Founded by Darryn and Fiona Quinn, the group grew from their experience in orienteering, rogaining and adventure racing across South East Queensland. Its events are designed for a range of participants and combine activities such as trail running, kayaking and mountain biking with other challenges.
Xcite has organised urban races including the Brightwater Bash and Twin Waters Urban Adventure Race, as well as off-road events in the Ewan Maddock Dam precinct. Its event listings have also featured the Donnybrook Dash and a planned return of the Brightwater Bash. In addition to organising races, Xcite competes as Xcite AR in foot and multisport rogaines and adventure races. The website provides information about upcoming and previous events, race results, galleries and ways to join or contact the team.
