XC North

Cross Country North is the northern Tasmanian cross-country program associated with Little Athletics Tasmania, offering young athletes a way to stay active and enjoy running through winter. Its season runs from April to August, with events held on Sundays at parks and reserves across the greater Launceston area. The program welcomes participants from Tiny Tots through Under 15, with age-based courses ranging from 500 metres to 4,000 metres. Races are designed for different ages and abilities, and athletes compete in their Little Athletics centre or club uniform; newcomers may wear a white top.

The season includes regular community races, Northern and Tasmanian state championships, and opportunities to take part in school and national cross-country events. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group at championship events, which have an additional fee. Athletes can register and nominate through the Results HQ portal, with Little Athletics Tasmania registration required for those who are not already members.
