X Fragile Québec

Association X Fragile Québec (AXFQ) is a Québec-based organization focused on supporting people living with Fragile X syndrome and their families. Guided by the principles of socialization, learning, mutual support, and collaboration, the association helps build connections within the Fragile X community and promotes greater understanding of the condition.

AXFQ provides information about Fragile X syndrome, including diagnosis and care, and shares personal accounts from parents alongside practical resources. Its website also highlights research developments and clinical opportunities, including information about a reference clinic at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke and a metformin trial at CHU Sainte-Justine for eligible participants aged 6 to 25.

The association organizes activities and family-focused events, such as its “Plus forts, ensemble!” conference, which brings together information and discussion about living with Fragile X syndrome. It also shares awareness initiatives related to intellectual disability and rare diseases.
