The Six Senses Japanese Garden is a cultural and leisure destination set within the Mriya Resort in Crimea, near Yalta. Designed by Japanese landscape architect Shiro Nakane, the garden brings Japanese aesthetics and philosophy to a six-hectare hillside landscape between the Crimean mountains and the sea. Its three terraces feature waterfalls, streams, ponds, stone arrangements and plantings that include species brought from Japan and Europe. The garden’s concept draws on the six senses—sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and consciousness—and invites visitors to experience the surroundings mindfully.
Visitors can purchase admission tickets or join guided tours, and take part in traditional tea ceremonies. Other offerings include access to outdoor thermal onsens, kimono rental and gift certificates. The grounds also host seasonal events, including celebrations inspired by Japanese traditions. On the resort’s property, guests can find accommodation options such as the Shogun Estate, Imperial Villa and Presidential Villas, along with dining venues.
