About きくりん【たけふ菊人形
Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Festival is an annual flower and entertainment event organized by the Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Festival Executive Committee in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Its 75th edition runs from October 9 to November 8, 2026, at Takefu Central Park. This year’s theme, “Echizen Yokai Tales—A Little Scary, but Fun,” brings local folklore to life through chrysanthemum figures, floral displays, themed gardens, and photo spots.
Visitors can also enjoy a chrysanthemum flower corridor, large topiary figures, amusement rides, and the park’s children’s play area. The festival offers food from an outdoor food court and food trucks, while Kikurin Market features local specialties and souvenirs. Performances include the Takefu Review by the OSK Nippon Revue Company, with additional events held on weekends.
Admission to the festival grounds is free; some attractions and performances may have separate charges. The venue provides approximately 1,200 free parking spaces, and a free shuttle bus operates between the park and nearby stations on Sundays
