Børnetrivsel is a child and youth wellbeing practice focused on helping teenagers experiencing school refusal and supporting the families and schools around them. Founded by a practitioner with extensive experience as a teacher and school leader, the business draws on an understanding of school life from both classroom and leadership perspectives. Its approach emphasizes the relationship between young people and trusted adults as an important foundation for learning and wellbeing.

The central service, TILBAGE I SKOLE, is an eight-week support program for teenagers, parents, and schools. The practitioner coordinates communication, meets with parents and the teenager, and works with teachers to explore the causes of absence and identify practical adjustments. Two network meetings bring families and school staff together to agree on a plan and review progress. Børnetrivsel also offers parent groups, open counselling, and preventive support related to school refusal, alongside information and frequently asked questions. Meetings may include Dagmar, the practitioner’s calm miniature dachshund, if the young person is comfortable with her presence.
