X SWIM ACADEMY

X SWIM ACADEMY is a swimming and water polo clinic focused on helping young athletes improve their technique, fitness and performance in the pool. Led by coaches Francesca Fitzhenry and Zach Maher, the academy draws on their more than 15 years of experience as elite swimmers, alongside education in Sport and Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology and Sport Management. Their coaching combines professional expertise with firsthand experience of elite sport.

The academy offers bi-weekly sessions during school terms, with a choice of packages to accommodate different schedules. Clinics are designed for swimmers and water polo players aged 10 and over, or those who already have an understanding of swimming technique. Sessions are also offered bi-weekly for Balmain Water Polo Club players. During school holidays, athletes can take part in clinics covering both in-pool development and broader wellbeing topics, including nutrition, sleep, gym routines, activation and prehabilitation, and scheduling. Underwater video provides visual feedback to help participants review skills.
