The company’s product range includes a laser coating removal robot and an automated paint robot for de-painting and repainting aircraft.

XYREC says its technology can reduce aircraft ground time by 50% to 85%, supporting faster turnaround and lower operating costs. The automated process requires no chemicals or fresh water, avoids hazardous waste and manual sanding, and can be used on all substrates. By reducing manual work, the systems also help limit human exposure to volatile organic compounds and hexavalent chromium. XYREC states that its robots can provide full coverage across aircraft ranging from fighter jets and helicopters to A380s. Its approach can also support fuel savings through paint weight optimization and sharkskin riblets, while reducing emissions during maintenance.
