Familias de Traslasierra is a non-commercial genealogy and local-history project dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of families from Traslasierra, Córdoba, Argentina. It explores the region’s strong connections to ancestral land, traditions, and the landscapes around the Champaquí mountain, while documenting people and families who contributed to religious, cultural, scientific, and civic life.

The website offers tools for researching surnames, individuals, family groups, and family trees. Visitors can explore historical stories, dates, calendars, cemeteries, photographs, documents, gravestones, recordings, videos, sources, repositories, and DNA test information. Featured family histories and notable people bring together genealogical details and regional context, while quotations and historical excerpts offer glimpses into Traslasierra’s past.

The project also welcomes contributions from people who can add information or sources, share family memories, or help preserve historical materials. Its work includes researching family roots, transcribing old documents, and restoring photographs. Voluntary donations help cover hosting and ongoing development costs, supporting the site’s aim of keeping the region’s family history accessible to everyone.
