About 🇵🇭Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines
Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines (YACAP) is a dynamic nationwide alliance established in 2019, uniting youth organizations, individuals, and student councils dedicated to spearheading immediate global climate action led by the youth. Recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2022 and officially known as YACAP Inc., our core belief is that the youth, alongside the most affected sectors of society, should spearhead the ongoing global fight against the climate crisis for our planet's survival. As the Philippine counterpart of Fridays for Future, we stand on five pillars of unity: Climate Justice, Urgent Climate Action, Youth-led Collective Action, Defend our Environmental Defenders, and System Change.
