Yambone Conservation is a transformative community-driven initiative that aims to make a positive impact on both nature and local communities. Founded in 2018, Yambone works alongside five vibrant communities located within the expansive Chipanje Chetu Community Conservation Area. These communities, including Secundo Congresso, Matchedje, Nova Madeira, Maumbica, and Lilumba, receive invaluable support from Yambone in various areas.

This includes conservation agriculture, managing human-wildlife conflicts, strengthening local governance, providing education and training opportunities, and enhancing livelihood development. Yambone also takes charge of infrastructure improvements and ecological management to maintain a delicate balance. By prioritizing sustainable development and environmental stewardship, Yambone is dedicated to preserving natural resources while building resilient communities within Chipanje Chetu.

With a bottom-up approach, Yambone values the interconnection of nature and culture and empowers local communities to protect their natural landscapes.
