About Yamhelas
The Friends of the Yamhelas Westsider Trail (FYWT) is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Yamhill County, Oregon, focused on promoting the development and maintenance of multi-use trails for community health, safety, and connectivity. Founded in 2012, FYWT emerged from a grassroots movement aiming to create safe recreational pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrians. The highlight of their efforts, the Yamhelas Westsider Trail, is envisioned as a 17-mile route connecting the towns of Carlton, Yamhill, Cove Orchard, and Gaston, with future extensions to Forest Grove and McMinnville.
