YATA Norway

YATA Norway, the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association in Norway, is a network for young people interested in foreign, defence and security policy. It aims to help members build knowledge, develop professional connections and pursue their interests, studies and careers in these fields. The organisation connects young people through local branches in cities including Oslo, Stavanger, Trondheim, Tromsø, Kristiansand, Lillehammer, Bergen and Bodø, and offers events and activities such as policy discussions, quizzes and visits to government departments and research institutions.

YATA Norway also works with the Norwegian Atlantic Committee on a mentoring programme designed to support the transfer of expertise between young professionals and experienced specialists. Its activities include the Tysklandprosjektet and participation in Arendalsuka. YATA Oslo produces Konflikt, a podcast featuring conversations with people who have experienced events covered in the news. The series offers perspectives on current foreign and security policy debates, along with insights into careers in these areas. YATA Norway welcomes members and shares updates, resources and opportunities through its website and social media.
