Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia

Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia (YKAI) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with cancer from economically disadvantaged families in Indonesia. Its roots date to a community initiative founded in 2004 by Sallyana Sorongan and friends. After establishing Yayasan Sentuhan Kasih Anak Indonesia in 2010, the founders created YKAI in 2018 to focus on children facing cancer. The organization’s mission is to help restore the health and smiles of Indonesian children, based on the belief that every child deserves proper treatment and care.

YKAI offers support through programs covering medical treatment, transportation, family assistance, and free education for children whose schooling is delayed by cancer care. It has expanded from Jakarta to several cities in Java and beyond, with representative offices serving Yogyakarta and Central Java, and East Nusa Tenggara. The foundation also works with hospitals and local government partners to support families. Through survivor ambassadors, events, educational content, and fundraising, YKAI raises awareness and encourages children undergoing treatment.
