Yay First Aid

Yay! First Aid is a London-based provider of practical first aid training for individuals, small groups and businesses. Its courses are taught by fully qualified, registered 999 paramedics, doctors and nurses who are also trained as instructors or assessors. Founded by Priscila Currie, the brand aims to help people become competent and confident first aiders through engaging lessons grounded in real-life experience.

Training covers emergencies involving babies, children and adults, with course options for personal bookings and workplace groups. Learning combines lectures, videos and role-play with team activities, including the “Save a Life Olympic Game.” Each student receives an individual CPR manikin and training defibrillator, while assessments use high-tech manikins that provide live feedback on CPR performance. Participants also receive course materials and supplies, including a first aid book, resuscitation mask, gloves and hand sanitiser wipes; food and drinks are provided free. Students must be at least 14 years old, although workplace first aid responsibilities require participants to be 16 or older. Yay! First Aid also promotes NHS blood donation.
