At Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago (YBTT), we believe that entrepreneurship is a catalyst for sustainable development. Guided by our purpose — “Building a Sustainable Future Through Entrepreneurship” — we empower young people to start, grow, and sustain successful businesses that create lasting social and economic impact. For over two decades, YBTT has served as the national hub for youth entrepreneurship support, providing training, mentorship, access to finance, and business development services to entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35. Through these initiatives, we help transform ideas and small ventures into thriving enterprises that strengthen communities and foster innovation. YBTT is part of the Youth Business International (YBI) global network, connecting Trinidad and Tobago’s young entrepreneurs to a world of opportunity. Our work is made possible through partnerships with corporate sponsors, development agencies, and civic organizations that share our commitment to inclusive growth and sustainability. About Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago
YBTT, which stands for Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals aged between 18-35 to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations and contribute to their communities through self-employment. Established in 2001, YBTT is a registered charitable entity in accordance with Trinidad and Tobago's Corporation Tax Act. As an accredited member of Youth Business International (YBI), a global network of youth business programs, YBTT partners with the business community in both the public and private sectors to achieve its goal.
The organization recognizes the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset in secondary school students to ensure the sustainability of its initiatives. Through targeted interventions, YBTT inspires and empowers young minds to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. In addition to youth entrepreneurship, YBTT is committed to promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
The organization believes that incorporating ESG considerations in business practices is crucial for long-term sustainable growth and the well-being of society. YBTT works with its partners to encourage and support responsible business practices and sustainable entrepreneurship. With a diverse team of experienced professionals in leadership positions, including expertise in Law, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Agriculture, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship, YBTT is proud to have a knowledgeable operations team led by a proficient General Manager.
