Yad Yitzhak Ben-Zvi is an Israeli public institution dedicated to research, culture, and education. Named after Israel’s second president, it studies Jewish communities in the East, the history of the Land of Israel, and Jerusalem, and shares this knowledge with the public. Its research resources include specialist institutes, a library, information databases and collections, as well as books, articles, and journals.

The institution also offers a broad programme of cultural and educational activities. These include events, lectures, conferences, study days, courses, and guided tours, including tours of Jerusalem and tailored visits for groups. Its educational work encompasses activities for schools and kindergartens, guide training, educational initiatives, and a tour-guide course. Visitors can also arrange a visit to the President’s Hut, while the institution’s bookshop offers publications for readers interested in its fields of study. Through research, public programmes, learning opportunities, and access to collections and publications, Yad Yitzhak Ben-Zvi connects scholarship about Israel’s communities, places, and history with audiences of varied ages and interests.
