YCBA

The Yacht Club du Bassin d’Arcachon (YCBA) is a welcoming club based at the Port of Arcachon, bringing together people interested in boating, fishing, and life on the water. Founded in 1958, it has a long-standing connection to the local port and works to share knowledge about the sea while encouraging its discovery and preservation. The club offers training through its approved motorboat training centre, including courses for coastal, offshore, and inland boating licences, radio certificates, and navigation skills.

Its fishing school, which includes experienced instructors, introduces young people to fishing and supports sports fishing, competitions, and related activities. Members can also take part in nautical rallies, cruises, outings around the Arcachon Basin, and social events such as meals and galas. The YCBA organizes activities throughout the year and contributes its members’ boats to local nautical events, supports nearby associations, and assists charitable events.
