Youth Development Institute (YDI) is a private, not-for-profit corporation located in Phoenix, AZ. With a vision of creating a therapeutic community, they strive to provide a place where children can belong, grow, and develop their identities through lasting relationships with caring adults. YDI offers a range of rehabilitation and treatment services for youth and their families, aiming to provide them with developmental, educational, and economic opportunities.

At their nine-acre campus in central Phoenix, YDI provides intensive and specialized treatment for youth referred by the Arizona Juvenile Courts and other state youth placing agencies. They offer a locked 84-bed residential program licensed as a Level I residential facility, providing assessment, counseling, behavior management, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Additionally, YDI operates group homes and supervised apartment living for up to 48 youth who require long-term placement to treat underlying emotional problems and serious behavior disorders.

These programs aim to prepare the youth for independent living, providing both academic education and a home-like environment.
