Yekmal Akademie Sprache – Bildung – Forschung gGmbH is a German research and education institute focused on language, education and multilingualism. Established in 2020 within Yekmal e.V., it became a nonprofit limited liability company in 2024. The Akademie promotes inclusive education, equal opportunity, cultural diversity and collaboration, using transdisciplinary perspectives and methods in its research and professional work.

Its services include Kurdish language courses for children, young people and adults at levels aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as TESTKURD language examinations and certification. The Akademie also provides Kurdish–German translation, scientific advice and supervision for university students and researchers, and training for teachers and educators on multilingualism. It develops and publishes bilingual picture books and dictionaries, language-learning materials and audio resources.

Its educational initiatives include the Yekmal Saturday School, which supports children’s multilingual development through language learning and creative activities, and programmes related to Kurdish in schools.
