About Yemen Microfinance Network
YMN (Yemen Microfinance Network) is a non-profit NGO that serves as Yemen's national microfinance association. Established in 2010 under the United Nations Development Assistance Framework, YMN works in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program and the Social Fund for Development. With over 95% of microfinance institutions in Yemen as its members, including banks, foundations, programs, and stakeholders, YMN plays a vital role in the microfinance sector.
Their services include technical assistance, project implementation, training, capacity building, research, development, and advocacy. YMN aims to create an inclusive microfinance sector where MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) have access to a wide range of financial and non-financial services, contributing to their economic and social welfare. Guided by principles of best practices, transparency, accountability, and poverty reduction, YMN's strategic goals focus on strengthening their institutional capacity, providing high-quality information and research, offering technical support services, and ensuring financial sustainability
