Yashaswini Cooperative Member Health Protection Trust is an initiative established by the Government of Karnataka, aimed at providing comprehensive health coverage for members of cooperative societies and farmers. Redesigned and relaunched in 2022 after its initial suspension in 2018, the plan offers vital health services to over 4.7 million registered members, far surpassing its initial goal of 3 million.
The Trust facilitates access to a network of over 1,650 hospitals, allowing members to receive cashless treatment for around 2,128 medical procedures, including major surgeries and critical care services. Members benefit from a health coverage limit of up to ₹5 lakh for medical expenses, which encompasses various conditions from cardiovascular diseases to child and women’s health issues.
With a commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility, Yashaswini provides members with a unique ID card for seamless access to benefits. This initiative emphasizes the importance of health security among cooperative members, showcasing its significant role in supporting community health since its inception.
