About YESRUD Uganda
Youth Effort For Sustainable Rural Development (YESRUD) is a youth-led non-profit organization striving for an economically empowered society free from gender-based violence. Founded in 2017, YESRUD aims to address issues such as school dropouts, gender-based violence, and low agricultural productivity through sustainable approaches. Led by Ignatius Okore, with a background in agriculture, YESRUD focuses on transforming smallholder farmer households by treating farming as a business.
With a strong focus on agriculture, environment, education, and livelihoods, YESRUD works closely with stakeholders to drive impactful change. Through education, support, capacity-building, and donations, YESRUD empowers communities and fosters sustainable development. By planting trees, educating, assisting vulnerable communities, and building farmer cooperatives, YESRUD is making big changes towards a more sustainable and empowered future.
