About YIKRI
YIKRI is a unique model of social microfinance in Burkina Faso, catering to entrepreneurs in situations of exclusion and extreme poverty. Launched in 2015 by Entrepreneurs du Monde, YIKRI offers tailored services including training, counseling, savings, microcredit, social support, and microhealth insurance. With a focus on rural women (83%) engaged in services and commerce (31%), YIKRI empowers the most vulnerable through access to financial tools and educational programs.
Through group initiatives, entrepreneurs can access savings accounts, unsecured loans, and various economic, technical, and social training sessions. YIKRI operates as a decentralized financial system recognized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, sponsored by Entrepreneurs du Monde. Committed to solidarity, transparency, and non-discrimination, YIKRI aims to drive sustainable change in the lives of individuals facing financial limitations.
