Ylaa

Kita ylaa provides multicultural, bilingual childcare in Basel, with German- and English-speaking caregivers supporting children from three months old until kindergarten entry, as well as kindergarten-age children. Its approach combines age-appropriate care with an in-house “I can” early-development program and an annual multicultural plan. Learning and play take place in spaces designed for activities including science, art, movement, gardening, dreaming and play. The centers emphasize each child’s individual needs, emotions and development, while maintaining regular communication with parents.

Kita ylaa also offers a balanced food program: its chef prepares fresh meals using organic, seasonal and regional ingredients, with vegetarian options available. The organization promotes environmental awareness through sustainable, natural products and activities that encourage children to build a responsible relationship with nature. Childcare is available year-round from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., except on public holidays and during Christmas week, with additional care sometimes available at short notice.
