The YMCA of Coastal Georgia is a nonprofit organization serving communities across coastal Georgia through locations in areas including Chatham, Effingham, Golden Isles, Liberty County, Richmond Hill, Statesboro, Tybee, and West Chatham. Its mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that support healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Y offers memberships with access to fitness equipment, pools, childcare, basketball gyms, and other member benefits, as well as corporate wellness programs and income-based financial assistance.

Programs span healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. Members and families can take part in fitness activities, EGYM, Y Fit Live!, programs for active older adults, pickleball, aquatics, youth sports, gymnastics, and swim lessons. Childcare and education services include before- and after-school care, full-day care, Georgia Pre-K, holiday and summer camps, Child Watch, and Parents’ Time Out. The organization also provides child abuse prevention initiatives, military outreach, and community programs such as A Place to Dream and the REACH Grant. Donations support its work as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
