Murwillumbah Aero Club is a community aviation club based at Bob Whittle Airfield (YMUR) in the Tweed Valley of New South Wales. Named for local World War II Spitfire pilot Bob Whittle, the airfield reflects the region’s longstanding connection to aviation. For generations, the club has brought together pilots, aviation enthusiasts and local residents around a shared interest in flight, with the surrounding mountains, coastline and countryside providing a distinctive setting.

Open to experienced aviators, aspiring pilots and people who simply enjoy aircraft, the club supports recreational flying, flight training, pilot development and the future of general aviation. Membership is available to new participants and includes access to discounted aircraft hire, annual events and social gatherings for a joining fee and a small annual fee.

Murwillumbah Aero Club also provides AVGAS at YMUR. Fuel can be prepared for arriving pilots with prior notice, and members receive a discounted rate. Through aviation activities and community events, the club aims to make flying accessible and sustain the spirit of aviation in the Tweed Valley.
