Yoga Vidya

Yoga Vidya e.V. is a yoga and meditation organisation offering seminars, retreats, training and educational resources through its centres in Germany and its English-language website. Described as Europe’s largest yoga institution, it invites visitors to practise in natural surroundings and connect with a community of like-minded people. Its programmes combine yoga postures, breathing exercises, deep relaxation, chanting and meditation, alongside vegetarian meals; the site describes the food as organic and vegan.

A key offering is an intensive, four-week yoga teachers’ training course, covering practical teaching skills, yoga philosophy, meditation and relaxation techniques. The organisation also provides seminars and yoga stays at locations including Bad Meinberg, the Allgäu, the North Sea and Westerwald. Bad Meinberg hosts more than 650 programmes a year, while other centres offer settings for rest, workshops and outdoor activities. Online, visitors can explore English articles on topics such as asana, pranayama, diet, purification, meditation, philosophy, chakras and mudras. Yoga Vidya also shares information about Ayurveda and its wider spiritual community.
