About Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) is a charity that relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to save lives across Yorkshire. They provide advanced trauma care to Yorkshire's most seriously injured patients. YAA operates two aircraft and two Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs), covering a population of approximately 5 million people across 3 million acres.
Their airbases are located at The Nostell Priory Estate near Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk. The charity raises £19,000 per day to keep both air ambulances operational. YAA is funded through public donations and fundraising efforts.
They have a dedicated team of operational crew and fundraising staff. YAA prides itself on transparency, providing annual reports to show how the donated funds are used. They also collaborate with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, which secondments paramedics and doctors to support YAA's operations.
By supporting YAA, you contribute to the vital emergency medical services that save lives in Yorkshire
