Yoshino-Dojo Scharbeutz e.V. is a traditional Shotokan karate club in Scharbeutz, Germany, offering training focused on karate, self-defense and personal development. Founded in 1986 by karate teacher Jörg Arndt, the dojo began with ten students and became an independent association in 1991. The club has since grown into a well-established regional organization, with membership historically reaching around 100 people.
Training aims to develop concentration, coordination, discipline, physical control, reaction skills and self-confidence alongside traditional karate practice. The club welcomes children and adults, and its news highlights beginner courses as well as opportunities for later starters. Members can take part in training, grading examinations, seminars and events, including the association’s Gasshuku. The dojo also celebrates competitive achievements: its children’s kata team won a German championship in 1988, and members have continued to earn strong results and advance through dan grades. Yoshino-Dojo offers prospective students the opportunity to get started through introductory training, with course dates and club updates shared on its website.
