Young Architects Competitions (YAC) is an association based in Bologna, Italy, that promotes architectural competitions for young designers, including students and graduates. Through open calls and invited competitions, YAC presents practical architectural and urban-planning challenges intended to encourage design research and spark discussion about how places can support changing human activities. The organization also seeks to recognize emerging talent, offering prizes and opportunities for selected projects to gain exposure through print and online publications.

YAC works with public and private partners, universities, companies, cultural institutions, and architecture practices. Its competitions have addressed a wide range of themes, from museums, libraries, and community spaces to housing, landscapes, and infrastructure. The current House of Poetry competition, organized with the Municipality of Marradi, invites proposals to transform poet Dino Campana’s home into a museum with cultural value. YAC also provides postgraduate education through Yacademy, where young architects can develop their skills through teaching by established practitioners. Its activities include competition juries, project publications, news, and a network connecting participants with institutions and professionals.
