YoungMe Coachee

Young Me Coachee is a children’s and youth coaching practice run by Kathelijne in Hoeven, the Netherlands. The practice supports children and young people experiencing social-emotional concerns or behavioural challenges, while helping parents better understand their child’s needs. Coaching can address sensitivity and overstimulation, sleep difficulties, managing emotions, insecurity and low self-esteem, anxiety, tension, concentration difficulties, bullying, and fear of failure. Support is also available for children dealing with significant life events, such as parental separation or the loss of a loved one.

Each coaching programme is tailored to the child’s age, needs, and personal goal. The process begins with a telephone introduction and an intake meeting with the child and parents to clarify their concerns and establish a support question. Individual sessions generally last 45 minutes to an hour and take place weekly, with most programmes comprising four or five sessions. Kathelijne uses creative and active approaches, including drawing, painting, clay, grounding exercises, and movement, to encourage expression, confidence, and a sense of safety.
