Young Scientists Tanzania (YST) is a pioneering educational initiative designed to foster a robust scientific culture among secondary school students in Tanzania. The program features two key components: a nationwide Science Outreach Programme that engages students across all Tanzanian regions and an esteemed Annual YST Exhibition showcasing their research projects. Modeled after Ireland's Young Scientist Exhibition, this annual event serves as a platform for students to present their innovative ideas and solutions in various scientific fields, such as the recent winners who assessed water purity in schools.

YST plays a vital role in enhancing the country's educational framework by aligning with the Tanzania National five-year development plan and the African Union's Continental Education Strategy Plan (CESA 2015-2025). The program promotes practical training, encourages innovation, and creates vibrant extracurricular activities, such as science parks and clubs. Through mentorship, incubator projects, and increased accessibility to scientific knowledge, YST is committed to empowering the next generation of Tanzanian scientists.
