Your Doula Maia

Your Doula Maia provides birth and postpartum doula support to families in Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, and surrounding areas. DONA International-trained and certified, Maia is also a Certified Lactation Educator Specialist and Certified Perinatal Yoga Instructor. Her approach combines evidence-based information with emotional care, movement, breathing techniques, and attentive listening, helping families feel informed, heard, and supported without judgment.

Services begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss a family’s needs and assess whether the partnership is a good fit. The birth support program includes two prenatal visits focused on birth preferences, questions, comfort measures, breathing and pain-coping techniques, and a personalized birth plan, plus ongoing phone, text, and email support. Maia is on call around the due date and provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor and delivery. A postpartum visit offers compassionate guidance during the transition to parenthood. Maia emphasizes informed decision-making, communication, and respect for each family’s preferences, with a backup doula team available when needed.
