About Your Eyes In Space
Your Eyes In Space is a free, open-source space simulator and astronomy learning experience created by Berk Comba and published by BigBrains. Designed to make space and astrophysics engaging for people everywhere, it brings an interactive exploration of the observable universe into a web browser. Users can travel among 109,000 real stars, 55 galaxies, 14 black holes, pulsars, nebulae, clusters, planets, and spacecraft, with NASA satellite imagery and three-dimensional celestial representations.
The experience also includes guided tours with narration, interactive lessons, and a mission planner that calculates routes and transfer options, including gravity assists, and lets users follow a spacecraft in real time. Featured destinations include the Solar System, notable stars and galaxies, and missions and vehicles such as Voyager, the James Webb Space Telescope, and the International Space Station. Its visualizations draw on sources including NASA/JPL, ESA Hipparcos, Gaia, NED, and SIMBAD, alongside other astronomy catalogs and public-domain imagery.
The project welcomes feedback and collaboration with educators, planetariums, science centers, researchers, and science communicators
