Youterus

Youterus Health is an Africa-focused uterine health company working to make women’s reproductive care more visible, accessible, and effectively funded. It addresses gaps in health systems that often track women during pregnancy but provide limited support for uterine health across the rest of their lives. The company brings together community engagement, clinical care, data, and financing to help women move from recognizing symptoms to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Its work includes culturally grounded screening tools developed around women’s own descriptions of symptoms, administered by community health workers; an African-owned longitudinal registry that follows women’s care journeys; and defined clinical referral pathways, from community checks and tests to specialist care and surgery. Youterus also develops financing mechanisms so inability to pay does not prevent women from receiving treatment. The organization reports that its initiative launched in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in July 2025, and that 85 surgeries have been underwritten so far. It works with governments, donors, investors, researchers, and creative partners to strengthen uterine health standards and services across Africa.
