Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underrepresented students in Kern County access and complete higher education. For 30 years, the foundation has worked to remove barriers between students’ ambitions and college opportunities through support that extends from high school to graduation. Its services include scholarships for low-income students, mentorship through the college application process, and ongoing academic guidance.
Pre-college camps and workshops provide academic enrichment, campus visits, and practical skills to help students prepare for college life. The foundation also builds partnerships with local schools, families, and community organizations to strengthen the support available to young people. Youth 2 Leaders reports awarding more than $2 million in scholarships and serving thousands of students, with programs designed to encourage college enrollment and persistence.
Its work includes initiatives such as Cash 4 College, the Scholarship program, Pre-College Camps, Parent Academy, and an Artificial Intelligence Program. Based in Bakersfield, the foundation invites community members to support its mission through donations and involvement
