The Youth4Disarmament Initiative, a vital program of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, aims to empower young individuals as key players in promoting disarmament and non-proliferation efforts globally. At the heart of the Initiative is a commitment to engage the largest generation in history in discussions surrounding international peace, security, and the prevention of armed conflict. Through educational programs, resources, and opportunities for meaningful participation, Youth4Disarmament seeks to harness the insights and innovations of young people to address threats posed by conventional and nuclear weapons.

The Initiative's activities are guided by various UN General Assembly resolutions, which highlight the pivotal role of youth in sustaining peace. By fostering collaboration between youth, Member States, and civil society, Youth4Disarmament aims to create inclusive platforms for dialogue and development concerning disarmament issues. With the backing of international cooperation and resources, this initiative aspires to build a more peaceful, secure world by empowering the next generation to take action and advocate for effective disarmament policies.
