Youth Pastor Theologian (YPT) advocated for theologial renewal in youth ministry. We train youth workers to think biblically about what youth ministry is and to teach theologically with confidence, in order to invite teenagers into lifelong faith as disciples of Jesus Christ. We want to help youth pastors make disciples, partner with parents, and integrate youth into the church.

About Youth Pastor Theologian
Youth Pastor Theologian (YPT) is dedicated to empowering youth workers to nurture teenagers' Christian faith through theologically robust discipleship. Founded by Mike McGarry, an experienced youth pastor and ordained minister, YPT is committed to fostering a vision of theological renewal within youth ministry. The organization believes that the goal of youth ministry should be to develop lifelong disciples, establishing faith during the formative teenage years.
To achieve this mission, YPT provides a variety of resources and services including informative blogs, engaging podcasts, comprehensive training programs, and speaking engagements. Upcoming resources also include curriculum materials slated for release in Summer 2025. YPT emphasizes the importance of teaching youth about God in a manner that is rich in theological depth, encouraging youth pastors to cultivate environments where faith can thrive. With a strong affirmation of historic Christian creeds and values, YPT is dedicated to supporting youth ministries in strengthening their biblical foundations to help teens grow into mature, faithful adults.
