Youths For Excellence is a registered charity and non-profit organization based in Kingston, Jamaica, dedicated to serving underserved communities and empowering inner-city youth. Founded in 2015 by Jénine Shepherd, our organization aims to bridge the gaps in education caused by societal inequities. We provide tutoring, food, healthcare, and school supplies to children in grades four to six, as well as opportunities for personal development and career advancement for their families.

At Youths For Excellence, we believe in a holistic approach to education reform. We prioritize the improvement of literacy and numeracy skills in lower-performing schools, with the goal of helping students excel academically and build self-esteem. Furthermore, we focus on promoting overall community health to ensure greater retention of academic material and academic improvement.

Since our inception, we have assisted 12,000 children across Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda. We have become a renowned authority on education in Jamaica and have collaborated with various Ministries of Education, UNESCO, United Nations Development Programme, and several corporate and government sponsors.

Our dedicated founder, Jénine Shepherd, has received prestigious awards for her outstanding work, including the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence and the Diana Award. Our vision is to eradicate education inequality, starting with the Caribbean region, and our mission is to change nations by empowering generations.
